Jumpin Fun, a popular inflatable theme park, were look for a new safety video to make sure kids were staying safe while having fun from the moment they stepped into the park. Jumpin already had a safety video in place but wanted to create something more memorable and entertaining for kids. The brief was simple: make safety fun. We proposed introducing a brand character to lead the messaging, and after exploring a range of ideas, Jumpin Jax was born. I was tasked with bringing Jumpin Jax to life through a fully animated safety video. I designed and rigged the character in After Effects, building out a range of costumes and visual scenarios that matched different park rules. From fliping to sliding, sneaking snacks to forgetting socks, Jax had to guide kids through the do’s and don’ts with clarity, humour, and visual charm.
I handled the full production process for the video including storyboarding, animation, editing, and sound design. The result was a video that felt fun, fast-paced, and genuinely engaging for its audience. The final video now plays before every session at Jumpin Fun and has become one of the brand’s most memorable way for enagaging families. It’s reduced the need for staff intervention and made safety feel like part of the experience. One parent put it best: “The kids love it! They seem to be glued to the video no matter how many times they've seen it.”
